Standing Close to God

Friday January 20, 2012 6:15-9:30 pm
Saturday January 21, 2012 8:45 am – 2:00 pm
First Baptist Church, Dartmouth

Rev. Steve McEvoy will be leading this seminar which is part one of his Laying the Foundations series. Standing Close to God examines our journey with God and raises two questions: “Where am I going?” and “What is the process of getting there?”  Join us this weekend as we answer these questions.  Cost of weekend seminar is free!  Everyone will need a workbook ($10) which will be available Friday evening.

Please register by signing the posters in the church or by calling Cindy Smallhorn so we will have enough books.

Steve will be teaching two other parts: “Walking by Faith” slated for March 2nd & 3rd. and “Running by God’s Strength” slated for April 12 -14.

Steve McEvoy’s Bio
Steve was a leader in crisis rescued by the hand of God. After crying out to God in desperation, God led Steve and his wife April into a journey into the Word that established a new foundation in their lives. Today, Steve teaches Standing Close to God, Walking by Faith and Running by God’s Strength as three teaching based seminars and gives away the same truths that changed their lives.
Steve has his doctorate in Leadership and organizational development and is the founder of Steve McEvoy Ministries. Steve and April and their two teenage children are based in Truro, Nova Scotia, involved in leadership in their local church and travel abroad ministering God’s truth.

TLC Needed

Our Church Parlour is in need of tender loving care. This area is used often by members and others outside of our Church. One solution suggested is that two, or possibly three, families assume the care and needs of this area. We guarantee the care givers will share a great fellowship and create a bright, happy, peaceful setting for any gathering. Please consider and speak to Fred Lutes or Jean Walker
