The congregation is invited to an informal meeting with the Elders on Wed., September 8, 7:00-9:00 pm, to discuss our vision for the Church in the coming year. The Elders will present the results of our deliberations over the past months and solicit your feedback and support. We are excited and hope you will be also! Come join us in the Sanctuary and help us determine how we respond to the emerging needs for ministering to the next generation of God's people. ~ Your Elders

Our Food Bank Ministry is in need of volunteers. We are looking for people to work on Monday and/or Tuesday morning. If you are interested, please call Gerda Kerkhof at 462-0965

 - Monday night at 7pm here at First Baptist Church.

The Sound Team is looking for people who would be interested in working the sound booth. Training will be provided. If you are interested, please contact Shannon Aulenbach or Bob Marshall or call the church office.

In years past, several ladies from FBC have attended the interdenominational retreat held at Malagash or more recently at the Salvation Army Camp outside New Glasgow. The LIFT Retreat ( Ladies in Fellowship Together) will be held this year at Bayside Camp on September 24-26th. Judy Savoy, a well known Christian artist and speaker will be the guest speaker and the theme is Faith, Standing on the Rock. To help raise funds to keep the costs down, there will be a clothing sale held at City Heights Church on May 1st from 9-1. Ladies, save the clothes you are finished with and plan to donate them to the sale and come and get some "new" things!! All items will sell for $2 and all the proceeds will go to support the retreat. More info will follow in the future.

 - We want to make available to you the opportunity to come to the Church Sanctuary for a quiet place to pray. The Sanctuary will be open each morning Monday through Thursday between 9am and noon. You can enter the building where the offices are located.
